South Africa – Inland freshwater fishing starts beginning September and runs through to end May with the very best months September and October in early spring and again in autumn April and May. Ocean fishing is at peak as from early November running till mid-July, depending the variety of species. Due to the warm Agulhas sea stream bringing warm waters down the eastern side of the country, pelagic fish can be caught year round in this area. Namibia – Saltwater fishing is at its peak from beginning December to end April. The Zambezi offers its best from mid-October through to mid February.
Mozambique – The same season apply as in South Africa, early November till mid-July and pelagic fish throughout the year.
